| Title: Pillars of the Past |
| This photograph was taken about 15 minutes before 'Exposed', and is for those who do not like smooth water effects! While they were both taken at the same spot, (on Isla Mujeres north of Cancun, Mexico) they turned out quite differently. The waves were so small, it was like being by a lake. I had to wait several minutes for even a small wave to hit the old pier. A hurricane last October (category 5, direct hit, 220mph gusts) had exposed this pier. The beach used to extend well past the end of the exposed pier. The sand is about 5-10 feet lower than before. I had to slightly desaturate the middle part of the sky to get back the detail. |
